Social Training Consultation Effectiveness Analysis in the Light of the Implementation of the Kujawy and Pomorze Regional Operational Programme (KPROP)
Abstract
Social consultation is a simultaneous process of providing and getting information from the society in key decision-making, e.g. crucial laws, investment planning and essential enterprises. The aim of the present study was to collect opinions of the respondents on the social consultations essential for the launch of KPROP. One of the key points was finding factors affecting the social consultations process in the Kujawy and Pomorze region. The survey covered 300 respondents, including entrepreneurs (small and medium sized enterprises) who, e.g. applied for structural funds within KPROP, local government representatives, non-governmental organisations representatives, as well as persons representing schools of higher education and health services, etc. The analysis demonstrated that 96% of the local government units examined, 73% of the NGOs representatives and 68% of small and medium sized enterprises were familiar with the essence of social consultation. Of all the groups, 78% declared to be knowledgeable about social consultations. However, in order to secure greater effectiveness of social consultations, it is necessary to enhance the information and promotional actions.
