ENDOGENOUS POTENTIAL OF RURAL AREAS AGAINST STRUCTURE AND ALLOCATION OF FUNDS FROM RDP 2007-2013

Abstract

The main aim of the paper is the assessment of spatial diversification of and trends in implementation of funds from the RDP 2007-2013 with respect to the endogenous potential of individual self-government units. The amount of resources dedicated to implementation of the programme turned it into an instrument strongly affecting the development of rural areas. Moreover, it constituted a significant activating impulse for activity among rural population (if they wanted to obtain European funds). The analysis of RDP funds allocation demonstrated clearly that the focal point was on the environment- and agriculture-related measures. Insufficient, though, was the scope of intervention which would lead to development of other functions and improvement of standard of life in villages.
