On 12 December 2013 the conference on food markets took place in Poznań. This was the second consecutive common enterprise of the Department of Marketing Strategies of the Poznań University of Economics and Business and the Department of Market and Marketing of the Poznań University of Life Science. The conference ”Consumer ethnocentrism in food product market” gathered over 50 participants from throughout Poland. In pre-Christmas atmosphere there were presented 15 selected articles. Their authors reviewed ethnocentrism in all its forms: both from consumers’ and entrepreneurs’ perspective.
Diverse presentations, rich and dynamic discussion, participation of business practitioners proved that discussion on undertaken topics needs to be continued.
There were over 70 applications and 60 scientific articles submitted to the conference. They were double-blind peer reviewed. The articles that were positively reviewed would be published at the end of the second quarter of 2014 in the Marketing i Rynek journal.
We are convinced this is going to be an interesting and innovative collection of the texts on consumer ethnocentrism on food markets. We want to thank all participants and reviewers and invite them to participate in the next edition of the conference.
