INTENSITY OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION ORGANISATION IN POLAND IN THE YEARS 1996-2002

Abstract

A study was made of changes in the intensity of organisation of agriculture as well as crop and livestock production in the years 1996-2002. The analysis was carried out by voivodeship and poviat on the basis of the results of the 1996 and 2002 agricultural census data. Also investigated was the spatial distribution of the intensity level by poviat. The method employed was the one worked out by B. Kopeć [1968]. The research showed the level of intensity of the organisation of crop and livestock production, and hence of the entire agriculture, to vary spatially. Changes in the intensity level could be observed throughout the country, but their scale differed spatially.
