The Restructuring and Internalization of Retail trade in Poland Between 1990 and 2007
Abstract
The restructuring and internationalisation processes of retail trade in Poland were presented in the article. Two main aspects were taken into consideration: changes of shops number and entrance as well as development of foreign enterprises in the Polish market. Most transformations of domestic retail trade were initiated by foreign enterprises starting business in Poland. The pace of changes in the domestic retail trade visibly slowed down after 2002. In the successive years changes were continued, but they were slower and their character also changed.
