Past research: the influence of pro-apoptotic factors on mitochondria, the role of adenine nucleotide translocase (ANT), cytoprotection, mechanisms of resistance to antibiotics, the occurence of β-lactamase encoding genes in P. aeruginosa.
Current research interests: the effect of DNA polymorphism on phenotype, genetic determinants of food preferences, fat intake and body mass, sensitivity to fat, association studies, fetal programming, one-carbon metabolism and body weight
