THE USAGE OF DISCRIMINANT ANALYSIS FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE DIVISION OF THE ZACHODNIOPOMORSKIE VOIVODESHIP INTO AREAS OF AGRICULTURAL USABILITY
Abstract
Natural conditions for rural production in the Zachodniopomorskie voivodeship show a wide diversity. Every community was then described by means of variables concerning the quality of soil, water conditions, agroclimate and relief. These data were subject to standardization. Then, Zachodniopomorskie voivodeship was initially divided into 10 areas. For each area, the classification function was estimated and on its basis the final distribution was made. The purpose of this article is to divide the Zachodniopomorskie voivodeship into 10 areas with a similar agricultural usability.
