PRODUCTION AND ECONOMIC DIVERSIFICATION OF PIG-KEEPING FAMILY FARMS WITH DIFFERENT ARABLE LAND AREA

Abstract

The article presents production-economic results of family farms specialising in pig production and situated in four regions of Poland. The analysis was based on the survey data obtained on the farms by means of survey questionnaire. The criterion for identifying the farms was the arable land area in their possession. The farms reveal significant differences in the intensity of production level, the outlays made on the agricultural production and in their production-economic results.
