The Condition of Organic Farming and Market of its Products in the European Union



Abstract

The quantity changes in organic farming in the European Union countries in regard to the number and area of organic agricultural holdings were shown in the paper. The regulations and system of financial support for organic farming were presented as well. The article also presents the market of organic products in the European Union countries and compares the organic market in Western Europe and the new member states as well.
