LEVEL OF ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION IN THE LOWER SILESIA REGION - COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS



Abstract

This article is meant to define level of environment protection in Lower Silesia region in reference to other Polish regions. The author using the pattern development method assessed and performed comparative analysis of environment protection in Poland, depending on the region. The research took into account five different areas: usage and protection of earth surface resources, water contamination and protection, air contamination and protection, nature and biodiversity protection, waste-management and noise-level. The analysis was performed for the following years: 1999 and 2007.
