Position of Microenterprises in EU Economy



Abstract

The article shows the results of the analysis of positions of microenterprises in European Union (EU) economy. The results show that microenterprises make up the most numerous group of economic subjects in EU, however their importance in economy is diversified. In terms of job places their significance is comparable to the biggest enterprises, however in terms of income generation, value added, labour productivity and financial efficiency the position of microenterprises is conclusively the weakest.
