Competitiveness of Sugar and Sugar Substitutes in the European Union within Given and Alternative Political Frameworks



Abstract

The objective of the study is to analyse the competitiveness of sugar and alternative sweeteners (in particular isoglucose) in the EU within given and alternative political frameworks of the CMOS. The present situation of the European sugar market and the possible impacts of options of the future reform (from 2006) of the CMOS on the EU sugar market are analysed.
